Author, poet and critic passes away
I am sad to report that French writer and academic Raymond Federman has passed away after a long illness. He was the author of numerous novels, volumes of poetry and translation. He was also one of the first academics to write a sustained analysis of Samuel Beckett's prose,
Journey to Chaos: Samuel Beckett's Early Fiction. I'm happy to say that I was lucky enough to correspond with him a number of times, and found him to be witty, enthusiastic and extremely generous.

This is truly sad. And yes he was witty, enthusiastic and indeed extremely generous. I had the chance to correspond with him during my diploma research and he was so kind and I finally had the chance to meet him last year at Berlin.
He was so interested in getting in touch with his readers. I'm extremly sad to hear he passed away.
