Time is passing in the most exciting way. King Curtis live at the Fillmore East back in 1971. A little pinch of organ, a little pinch of Memphis horns, Curtis on tenor saxophone. To quote Bruce Robinson, 'a magnificent rendition of 'A Whiter Shade of Pale'... so sweet... so sour... this is beautiful'.
I'm whiling away the hours, but I never feel alone. I've been sitting at my desk drinking hot black coffee and listening to old jazz records. The sky is a cement gray but changing all the time. It's a beautiful day outside.
As Curtis says, 'Let it simmer. That's just right.'
